These hatch covers are used on the bow and stern of many kayaks, including the stern hatch of most P&H kayaks. They are almost water tight; in our experience they are not 100% dry. They hold up much better to UV and don't need to have 303 applied as often. The Kayak Sport hatch covers don't float, so tether them to the boat. We get this hatch covers from P&H kayaks or from Kayak Sport (Kajak Sport).
