We use minicel for all types of kayak outfitting. Minicel foam can be cut with a knife or jig saw and shaped with a rasp, sureform or dragon skin. We use contact cement or Mondo Bond to attach it to both glass and plastic kayaks.

The 1 inch foam can be bent around corners, while the 3 inch foam is rigid and is used in whitewater kayaks as stiffeners. Neoprene is softer and more flexible and better for some applications. After shaping the Minicel you can glue thin neoprene 1 to the Minicel giving it a more comfortable feel and more professional look.
